Biblioteca Palafoxiana by olemsteffensen

The Biblioteca Palafoxiana in Puebla, Mexico, was the first public library in colonial Mexico founded by the bishop Juan de Palafox y Mendoza. The library is by some sources mentioned as the first in all of the Americas. Juan de Palafox y Mendoza was very fond of books and the library contains more than 40000 pieces.
